I am happy :)

Well I must begin with thanking a person who encouraged me to create this bolg .

Yes I am really happy.............extremely happy.............................

I have started gardening long back in my childhood with planting in empty cans as I never had the proper place keeping the earthen ones.. Later, I lived in a flat with ground floor and there I developed my this hobby with pot gardening... two years back I bought my recent home ..on the outskirts of the growing city.. with utterly ugly plot ..only with the visualisation of a beautiful garden overhere.

and My efforts are showing the colours in true sense.

yes I am happy that I am a gardener..

Preparing for monsoon was a great task .I always wanted to make a water feature for my garden. We had thought of a waterfall and a natural pond in the garden. BBC 's Series ..How to be a GArdener helped me a lot in desiging and learning about the pond making. With the help of my husband and our friend i have started working on it . This is how it looks as now. There is lot still to be done .

Orchids on the Chumpa Tree

Orchids have always been love of flower growers. While trekking in the jungles of Maharashtra in Rains I used to get mad at the sight of colourful display of orchids in the jungle. There they grow and bloom in their fullest. The jungles nearby Tryambakeshwar have many varities of orchids .I can't forget the sight of the Piple tree near Kushawart(the holy Kund in Tryambakeshwar) with thousands of orchids bloomed on it .Since then I have made it a practice to visit the place in every rains ,religiously. The orchids that we have at home have been collected from nurseries and acquaintances who too are fond of growing orchids. The one in the pictures is recently bloomed and I just cant take my eyes off it when I reach home after my work.
